Why choose the white runner
White is the wedding runner, and the reasoning is straightforward: an aisle reads as an aisle the moment it goes down, without adding a colour that then has to agree with the florals, the drape and the room. It sits alongside greenery and linen rather than arguing with them, and it photographs the way people expect a wedding to look.
More broadly it is the runner for bright rooms. In a daylight venue, a gallery or a white-box studio, a dark runner cuts a heavy band across the floor; white keeps the space light and lets the route register as a change of texture instead. Clean modern launches use it for the same reason — guests are pointed at the display without the floor competing.
Being pale, it shows wear sooner than the others, so it is worth thinking about where guests step on and off it. Chrome posts frame it crisply and gold posts pull it back towards the traditional. It tapes down exactly the same way indoors or out.
