Why choose the red runner
Nobody needs telling what a red runner means. A guest gets out of a car, sees it, and understands in the same second where to walk, that they were expected, and that this part of the evening is being photographed. Premieres, award evenings and classic arrivals are built on that reaction, and it is why red has never been displaced as the default.
It also behaves in a frame. Red separates cleanly from dark suits and evening wear, and it gives a step-and-repeat a base that registers in every shot rather than dissolving into the floor. Warm venue lighting deepens it instead of washing it out, so the last arrival of the night photographs like the first.
Gold posts either side give the traditional reading; black posts hand attention to whatever branding flanks the carpet. Laying it outdoors is routine — professional double-sided tape holds the edges flat where guests step on and off, and lifts afterwards without marking the surface.
